                               Installation Art
                                                                                                  By:  Lindsay King

Project at a Glance :

This project is for a 9th-12th grade mixed grade Mixed Media class creating installation artworks. Installation art is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that are often site-specific and designed to transform the perception of a space. In this project, students explore installation art and create their own throughout the school. They research artists who work with installations, brainstorm project ideas, create mood boards, study sketches, project proposals, pitch their ideas to classmates, teachers & administration and create their artworks in public spaces.

Driving Question:

How can we change how viewers interact with &/or transform their perception of a space through the creation
of installation artworks?
