PBL Planning Resources
Our FoundationWe believe in using a design think process to help guide our PBL experiences. Design thinking is a human centered approach to problem solving. The futurePREP'd program uses the Creative Sequence as our design thinking process.
Gold Standard PBL: We believe in high quality PBL and are big believers in the PBL Works essential elements framework. We strive to build our projects keeping the essential elements in mind.

21st Century
The Skills4Success (S4S) Framework is a set of 7 interrelated skills that have been developed through a collaborative research process with local businesses/organizations, colleges/universities, and school districts through the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District.
Skills4Success with Rubrics The Employability Skills were developed with the same purpose and focuses on 1-2 skills per grade level. We use the Employability Skills for K-8 and the Skills4Success for High School. Whether it's the Skills4Success or the Employability Skills, we believe it's important to focus in on these skills as a part of a PBL project.
