vision that all students need (1) to graduate with two “transcripts” . . . academic skills and career readiness skills . . . and (2) a system
for measuring their progress toward those goals, and (3) robust opportunities to attain them.

​Educator Thoughts:

We used the warm and cool feedback strategy to evaluate students’ abilities to collaborate. Students presented as groups in front of class and in addition to the content (pieces of evidence for the Theory of Evolution as described in a section of their textbooks), they were evaluated on collaboration.

We focused on one very specific part which was: know when they need to lead and when to step back.   This is especially challenging for 9th graders, and this proved to be a very organic way to teach and learn about it. 
There was tremendous growth as the subsequent groups presented, learning from the errors of previous groups. The professionalism increased tremendously!

Some transitions include things like, ‘Would you like me to start that part off? Do you want any help with that? Remember that was the part where you shared about…”
