Protocol Overview and Instructions:
Building a tower in a team can help a group discuss topics, learn to work together and practice communication. There can be many versions of this team building strategy. Teams can write words on the sticky notes and bid with them, facilitators can eliminate forms of communication in the game and the materials used can be different. By creating something together, the teams will hopefully build culture and be able to work together better.
Collaboration Tower Protocol Instructions
Educator Thoughts:
It went well. Students enjoyed collaborating and using sticky notes to create a tower.
The challenge teams encountered at times was a consensus over ideas and not being able to talk. Students did a great job with their reflection about this protocol.
Student Quote:
“Fairly good all in all. I think we could have use more time to brainstorm in the beginning.”
