 Winter Gear How Might We Have a Good and Safe Recess

Project at a Glance :

When a 2nd grade class at Peach Plains Elementary in Grand Haven got the news that the majority of their playground equipment had to be removed due to safety and insurance issues, the class knew they had a problem to solve.

  • Then, students combined their ideas on one page using a modified version of the Rip, Slap, Pass.

  • Groups drew what the solution might look like and had a Poster Session to share ideas.
  • Then used Dot Voting to narrow down to the final solution.
