by:  Kathy VanTil

OVERVIEW:

The students created a presentation to either persuade their parents to allow them to get a tattoo before 18 or validate their parents stance regarding no tattoos. Students researched the process of tattooing including aesthetics and health consequences.  The project immersed students in learning about the integumentary system and the role it plays in the immune system.  Students presented to parents in an exhibition of learning.

"I love letting students learn THROUGH a project and not using projects as an afterthought. PBL allows me to spend more time with students and instruct them where they have difficulties individually."
