  • ​Based on the genre of poems and short- stories chosen, students will move among the stations, write down which genre(s) connects to them the most, and write down specific poems and short stories within the genre(s) they liked the best. There will be candy at each station to represent that genre.​​

  • Students  will write a 100-150 word proposal as to why they want to use the genre to answer the question "How do short stories and poems connect us?  What in the gnre and short stories and poems have you found that can connect people together?  Is it the theme?  Commonalities?  Experiences?  Fears? Hopes? Perspectives? Humor? Interests?
