Business Partner Challenge #1:
How can Royal improve teamwork and overall morale of employees?
Our experience . . .
"Working with Royal Technologies in Hudsonville was a fantastic experience. Their staff truly embraced hosting our group and we felt their support every single day. As our group of 7 students investigated our driving question, it was amazing to see them grow into leaders and thinkers. They had to communicate, negotiate, analyze, and pitch out to a panel of important people in a matter of 9 days - it was incredible." ~ J. Tuuk, Educator
"Running a PBL project this summer at Royal Technologies was an excellent experience! Our partners at Royal were incredibly accommodating, offering a beautiful space for us to use, as well as the opportunity to tour their production facilities and talk to some of their employees. They presented us with an excellent challenge question, which the students tackled with enthusiasm. After working through the PBL process, our team of students presented their ideas to a panel of stakeholders at Royal who praised them for their professionalism and creativity in solving their problem. Working through the PBL process with these students allowed me to think more creatively about applying these skills to my classroom in the coming year." M.Hoeksema, Educator

Business Partner Challenge #2:
How can we create and build a showcase (2nd floor of Royal Center) to show off and display our products to new customers and employees?
Our Experience . . .
"We had the most amazing time working with Royal Technologies and our ambassadors Renee and Megyn. Over the 8 weeks our team was able to not only research culture in the workplace, but our students were given the opportunity to design a new space that represented the history of Royal Technologies and showcase products to all new employees. Our students investigated the core values at Royal and tried to represent them in the new showcase design. We were inspired daily by the passion at Royal technologies and allowing our students this creative outlet to drive change!" ~ L. Gorman, Educator
"Our small team worked hard to reimagine a space that had been unchanged for over 20 years. The team was challenged to change the minds of people who resisted change. They brought a solution that embraced Royal Technologies' history and core values. The company was impressed with the recommendations presented by the team and was hopeful to adopt a number of the ideas. Students bringing about changes that companies embrace is the best part of the Academy program!" ~ B. Prince, Educator
