"When hearing the Michigan Design Challenge question this year, I thought that the students might really struggle with it since many may not have been to a National Park before or even know that Michigan had National Parks. However, after some research and doing empathy mapping, our students were able to come up with some really creative ideas to improve access. Many of those ideas could easily be implemented. I am proud of our students and their hard work (especially so early on Monday mornings before school). It was fun to see them work together and present two solutions to the challenge". ~ A.
